A normal barrel length PSL has a gas port size in the barrel and the gas block in the .085" to .090" as measured by me on a diisassembled PSL barrel. If the shorter versions were drilled with too large a gas port opening this could account for excessive recoil action of the bolt & carrier & spring.These are our version of the venerable Romanian PSL sniper rifle.
